Castleglen Cavaliers
About Us
We are a small breeder of CKC registered Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, located in beautiful Victoria, BC. We strive to breed healthy and sound puppies that will be good ambassadors of what the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel should be. We keep a small number of dogs that are very loved members of our family, and only have a limited number of puppies available. We also offer boarding to our puppy families when available.
We are proud to be members in good standing of The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of BC, The Interior Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of Canada. To learn more about Castleglen Cavaliers, please contact us.
Our Dogs
Scarlett
Scarlett (Castleglen's Scarlett Maroon) is our first Castleglen keeper puppy out of Maja and Stevie (CH Kazuri's You Are The Sunshine Of My Life) who is bred and co-owned by Sarah Sweetman in Washington State. Sarah not only has beautiful dogs, but has always prioritized health and Stevie's pedigree is testament to that. With multiple generations of MRI'ed dogs, and parents, grandparents and great grandparents that are still heart clear, I was so grateful she allowed me to use him with Maja. Within days of this litter being born, I knew that Scarlett was special, and as she grew, so did my love for her! I'm very excited to watch her mature and looking forward to hittin' the show ring with her in late 2024.
Puppies
Our Puppies are raised in our home, under our feet, and exposed to all the sights and sounds of a busy household. Using Puppy Culture as a guide, we strive to raise puppies that are confident and adaptable to whatever you put in front of them. Puppies will all be sold on a CKC non-breeding contract unless otherwise discussed. They will be vet-checked, vaccinated with first vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, crate trained, and come with a health guarantee, a binder with copies of all of their parents health testing, training tips and a puppy welcome home bag with items like a familiar blanket, treats, favorite toys, chews and more.
We are not planning anymore breedings for 2024, our next planned breeding will be Maja in early 2025.

Evie
Our first Cavalier, Evie, (Mountainview Spoon Full of Sugar NTD NS) is from Mountainview Cavaliers in Alberta. She is an absolute joy to be around and everybody who meets her loves her. Her tail never stops wagging and she loves to work for me. She has achieved her Novice Trick Dog title and her Novice Sprinter title, and is just about ready to start trialling for her first Rally Obedience title. We had big hopes for her to be shown in the conformation ring, but sadly COVID had other ideas and shut down all of the shows in her younger years. When they started back up, it was obvious it wasn’t her idea of fun, and so we didn’t force it.
She has maintained passing heart clearances done by a cardiologist, passing eye clearances done by an opthamologist, as well as passing hips and patellas and has earned an OFA CHIC number for completing all required health testing recommended for the breed. Evie is now retired after having 2 beautiful litters of puppies.
Dizzy
We love all our dogs at Castleglen Cavaliers, but Dizzy, (Caviolia Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun at Castleglen) from Caviolia Cavaliers in Falkland, BC, is a pretty special girl. She has a wonderfully cheeky disposition that compliments her cute demeanor perfectly.
She is my young daughter’s dog, and their bond is such a beautiful thing. She is a petite girl, and comes from an exceptionally healthy pedigree, including some of the best MRI scanned dogs in the country, thanks to Mary Beth at Embee Cavaliers. She has continued that trend by passing all of her health testing to date. We are so grateful to Debbie to be able to have her here with us.
Maja
Maja ( CH Schneeflocke Vom Kaninchengarten) is our first imported girl, coming to us from Vom Kaninchengarten in Germany, and we are so grateful to Anika for trusting us with this beautiful girl. She is the snuggliest girl and gives definition to the term “lap dog”. She would be quite happy to sleep on your lap, all day, every day if you would let her.
Maja finished her Canadian Championship quite easily despite the small entries at our little island shows, and is my first Champion Cavalier. She has passed all of her health testing to date (eyes by opthamologist, heart by cardiologist and patellas) and we are looking forward to seeing what her beautiful bone and structure will contribute to my little breeding program in the future.
